Warren Buffet Spends Multi-Millions Funding Abortion Mills

IRS tax-exempt foundations make it all possible.

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC |via | 3/5/14

Warren Buffet is one on the top five wealthiest people in the world — with a net worth of tens of billions of dollars that puts him on par with the economies of some smaller nations.

Buffet is no stranger to promoting abortion and population control and now a new article at National Review documents how Buffet is putting his vast fortune behind paying for abortions. National Review relies on the documents from Buffett’s charitable organization and abortion-providing groups.
The Buffett Foundation — renamed the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (STBF) in 2004 after Buffett’s wife’s death — exists as a medium for the investor’s charitable giving. The foundation is remarkably opaque — “a case study in non-transparency,” writes David Callahan for Inside Philanthropy. The foundation’s most recent IRS Form 990 is from 2011.
Nevertheless, it’s clear the foundation pours millions into pro-choice organizations, with a special focus on funding for abortions. In addition to funding general women’s health organizations and some political groups, Buffett gives generously to organizations that use their funds specifically to help women pay for abortions.
For instance, STBF gave more than $21 million in 2010 to the National Abortion Federation Hotline Fund. That organization’s 990 says its mission is “to ensure that women have the information and resources they need to access quality abortion care.” It also “provides case management services to women with special needs and limited financial assistance to subsidize care for low-income women,” per its 990 from 2012 (the latest year accessible).
In 2012, the NAF Hotline’s annual revenue was a little more than $26 million, per GuideStar. In other words, Buffett’s foundation made a donation almost the size of an entire year’s revenue to one of the country’s more prominent national abortion funds.
The Buffett Foundation’s 990 for 2012 wasn’t available. But in 2011, it gave or pledged more than $40 million to Planned Parenthood, which provides abortions as part of its range of services. It gave more than $1 million to the Abortion Access Project and many other pro-abortion groups.
LifeNews previously chronicled Buffet’s appetite for funding the abortion industry:
Buffett supported the most radical aspects of the population control movement such as providing $2 million to fund clinical trials of Mifepristone (RU-486) — the dangerous abortion drug that has killed more than a dozen women worldwide.
Buffett also provided $2 million to Family Health International for the distribution of quinacrine hydrochloride, a chemical that sterilizes a woman by burning her fallopian tubes.
Quinacrine is illegal in the U.S., but is used, often coercively, in Vietnam, India, and other nations.
In the late 1990s, Buffett committed to a $20 million grant to International Projects Assistance Services (IPAS), which manufactures and distributes manual vacuum aspirators, used for performing abortions in impoverished countries.
Buffet had also made donations to Planned Parenthood in the name of Pampered Chef, a cooking sales program with a high participation from Christian women. After Berkshire Hathaway purchased Pampered Chef, it donated $11 million to pro-abortion organizations in 2002.
In making preparations for the dispersal of his fortune before his death, Buffet told Fortune magazine in June 2006 that he will leave about 80 percent of his estate to the Bill Gates foundation, which has donated millions of dollars to support abortion.
In total, Buffet will leave Gates about $37 billion. Those donations cause concern for pro-life advocates because the Gates Foundation has given the Planned Parenthood Federation of America abortion business almost $12.5 million since 1998, including funds to persuade teenagers to support abortion and to lobby the United Nations to advance pro-abortion proposals.

The Gates foundation has also given nearly $21 million to the International Planned Parenthood abortion business over the last seven years. The funds have gone to promote abortions in third-world nations and to set up pro-abortion family planning centers in South America, Africa and eastern European nations.

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards Now Makes Over $500,000

by Jill Stanek | Washington, DC | | 6/4/14 3:45 PM
According to Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s 2012 IRS Form 990, CEO Cecile Richards made over one-half million dollars – $523,616, to be exact – for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2013.

That’s a lot of money to pay the CEO of a nonprofit organization, particularly one that claims to cater to low-income women.
“Planned Parenthood works to make health care accessible and affordable,” boasts Planned Parenthood.
Really? How much more affordable would Planned Parenthood’s services be were not its corporate bosses and affiliate CEOs making big bucks? For that 2012 reporting period, PPFA’s 12-member executive team tallied a combined income of $3.87 million.
When questioned by The Daily Caller in October 2012 about what was thought at the time to be an “almost $400,000 salary,” Richards responded, “None of my salary is paid for by the federal government.”
But if “[n]early half of Planned Parenthood patients rely on Medicaid coverage,” as Planned Parenthood states, does Richards really think she’d be making the same coin were government funding – to the tune of $540.6 million in FY 2012-13 – removed from Planned Parenthood’s total revenue of $1.210 billion?
And actually, The Daily Caller was well over $100,000 off on Richards’ salary.
Turns out Richards made $583,323 during Fiscal Year 2011 (July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012). This represented a whopping 39% pay increase from the year before that, when she “only” made $420,153.
So, actually, Richards’ 2012 salary of $523,616 represented a 10% pay cut.
But this was because she took time off from Planned Parenthood to campaign for President Obama’s reelection – which paid off for Planned Parenthood handsomely via windfall income via Obamacare and other government funding streams, only kept flowing by Obama and other pro-abortion politicians.
This sort of financial cushion then frees up Planned Parenthood to raise and spend money to elect pro-abortion candidates, who then return the favor.
See how the circle of loot works?
And where are the liberals – the Occupy Wall Street types – who supposedly despise such top-heavy income? They oppose Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Big Finance. But Big Abortion? Not on your life, or rather, not on the lives of innocent little babies. Note: Jill Stanek fought to stop “live birth abortions” after witnessing one as an RN at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. That led to the Born Alive Infants Protection Act legislation, signed by President Bush, that would ensure that proper medical care be given to unborn children who survive botched abortion attempts.

Planned Parenthood Flags Million for Pro-abortion Candidates

Monday, 03 March 2014 11:30
Written by  Dave Bohon
Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, is setting aside a reported $18 million to help in the campaigns of mostly Democratic candidates who make a woman’s right to kill her pre-born baby a predominant campaign plank.

The campaign funding for this year’s mid-term legislative and gubernatorial elections will represent the largest ever funding foray for the abortion giant, which received a record $542 million in government funding in 2012. According to its own latest annual report, Planned Parenthood’s assets now exceed $1.5 billion.
Groups such as the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List have made it a priority mission to defund the group, which they see as a both a moral and fiscal parasite that is bleeding the American taxpayer with impunity. “Americans are sick and tired of underwriting the nation’s largest abortion business,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List.
Much of the pro-abortion campaign money will flow through the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes. Officials of the abortion business, who announced the strategy in late February, said they would spend millions in over a dozen states with an emphasis on a half dozen races such as Senate contests in North Carolina, Alaska, and Montana, and gubernatorial contests in Pennsylvania and Florida, as well as the high-profile contest in Texas where Democratic, pro-abortion state Senator Wendy Davis has been waging a high-profile campaign for the office for nearly a year.
Planned Parenthood head Cecile Richards, whose late mother Ann Richards was the pro-abortion governor of Texas in the early 1990s, predicted that “many of these races are going to be determined by women and women voters. To the extent that we still have politicians who are running on a platform to repeal women’s access to health care and women’s rights, that’s a losing proposition.” Richards vowed that her Planned Parenthood would be “on the offense” to maintain the momentum for America’s murderous abortion laws through the election of candidates who would keep her group well-funded.
Democratic functionaries were ecstatic with the news that the abortion icon would be pouring millions into their party’s election efforts. “Planned Parenthood is a strong voice for women in Virginia and was a key partner in my run for governor,” cooed Democratic Governor Terry McAuliffe, who was the beneficiary of some $2.4 million in Planned Parenthood money in her 2013 campaign. She recalled that Planned Parenthood “provided essential support to my campaign” by using its millions to frame the issue of abortion as a crucial “women’s health” priority.
In Wisconsin, Planned Parenthood will target the defeat of Republican Governor Scott Walker, who signed a bill last year that helped to defund Planned Parenthood in the state. In endorsing Democratic, pro-abortion candidate Mary Burke, Planned Parenthood called the pro-life Walker “one of the most anti-women’s health governors in the country.”
According to a report in December by the Huffington Post, Wisconsin ranks as one of the nine “worst states for reproductive rights,” which means that the Badger State is likely one of the nine most pro-life states and one of the safest for expectant mothers and their pre-born babies., which first highlighted Planned Parenthood’s upcoming strategy, reported that in addition to high-profile governor and federal legislative races, the group’s funding would also target “several state legislative races, including campaigns in Arkansas, Iowa, and Pennsylvania where control of one or both legislative chambers is at stake.” The political news site noted that in some cases “state elections are more likely to affect the status of health and abortion policy than federal races, given the gridlock in Washington. In just the past year, Republican leaders in the targeted states of Texas, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina have enacted new regulations governing abortion clinics or insurance coverage for abortions.”
Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway said it is time for her party to take a more aggressive stance in battling Planned Parenthood’s attack, saying that past GOP strategy toward the abortion giant’s “anti-woman” charge against it has been to “ignore it like you’re a pregnant teenager, hoping it’ll go away, and nine months later it’s a really big issue.” Susan B. Anthony List’s Marjorie Dannenfelser was more critical in her appraisal of the GOP’s passivity on the abortion issue, saying that pro-life Republicans “cannot afford another election cycle of crouching in a fetal position and hoping the attacks go away.”
Lila Rose, president and founder of the pro-life group Live Action, said that Planned Parenthood’s announced pro-abortion campaign spending spree should prompt new calls to defund the billion-dollar abortion business. “There are no winners” she said, “except those making money by selling abortions, when Big Abortion leader Planned Parenthood pours millions into America’s elections.”

Gov. Brown to Sign Bill Legalizing Non-Physician Abortions in CA

What can the rest of the country do to encourage bankrupt, debt-ridden, Constitution violating, non-nullifying California to go into a full secession mode from these united States?

For those who’ve just been observers, you’ll be delighted to know that Wall Street and CNBC’s hero, Warren Buffett, is the largest abortion funder in the world through his tax-exempt funding of Planned Parenthood.

by Joel B. Pollak 13 Sep 2013
A bill that would allow non-physicians to perform abortions in the first trimester of pregnancy is awaiting signature by Gov. Jerry Brown of California by Sep. 30. The bill, AB 154, passed both houses of the state legislature with strong support from Planned Parenthood and pro-choice groups.
Planned Parenthood stands to benefit most directly from the bill, as non-physician staff at its clinics would be able to obtain abortion licenses.
One doctor–who identified himself as pro-choice–told Breitbart News that “the bill is a disaster since it sends us back 100 years to the problems of the complications from back-steet abortions.” The bill’s critics warn that the training provided to non-physician staff is weak, that supervision by physicians in clinics will be minimal, and that there is real risk of injury or death to women who will be treated in such conditions.
The California Medical Association has endorsed AB 154 because of “provisions for training in the bill and the amendments that clarify physician supervision.”

Yet the training is to be provided by the Board of Registered Nursing, not by physicians, and the protocols for defining “supervision” have not been specified. There is nothing in the legislation requiring a physician to be present or on-site during an abortion.

The bill permits licensed non-physicians to perform two kinds of abortion in the first trimester–by medication, and by aspiration, which requires the insertion of medical instruments into the uterus. Though many doctors agree that non-physicians could provide medications with few risks, the idea that a non-physician would perform an invasive procedure such as aspiration strikes many as rife with risks.
Debate about AB 154, which was introduced by California State Assembly Majority Leader Toni Atkins (D-San Diego), has been muted in a state that pro-choice advocates see as sympathetic to their cause. The Los Angeles Times came out strongly in favor of the measure in an editorial on September 3, arguing that it does not pose safety risks and that it could increase access to abortion services for women early in pregnancy:
In underserved urban areas, women face delays in getting medical appointments at clinics. When a woman can’t get an abortion in the first trimester, she may end up getting one in the later stages of pregnancy, which can mean a more complicated and more expensive abortion.
Advocates of AB 154 also argue that other states have allowed non-physicians to perform abortions safely, including in Planned Parenthood clinics.
Opponents describe AB 154 as an effort by Planned Parenthood and other groups to profit from Obamacare, since the legislation will expand the number of patients eligible for the state Medi-Cal program, and Medi-Cal pays for abortion. They also dispute assurances about the bill’s safety for women, arguing that there has been inadequate monitoring of California abortion clinics even prior to the passage of the new legislation.

HHS Awards Planned Parenthood $655,000 to Enroll People in ObamaCare

Written by  Michael Tennant
The Obama administration has found yet another way to funnel taxpayer dollars to one of its favorite organizations. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) just awarded three Planned Parenthood branches over $655,000 to serve as ObamaCare “navigators.”

On August 15, HHS announced that it would be awarding $67 million to 105 organizations to help Americans negotiate the labyrinthine process of applying for insurance on state exchanges and determining whether they are eligible for Medicaid or other subsidies. This was $13 million more than had originally been slated for navigators. According to McClatchy Newspapers, the extra cash was “borrowed … from money originally targeted for disease prevention efforts,” indicating that the administration is more concerned with getting people enrolled in subsidized insurance than it is with preventing disease. Then again, as Human EventsJohn Hayward remarked, “ObamaCare has never been about the health of anything except Big Government.”

Warren Buffett’s Abortion Funding
Recipients of the navigator grants include community organizations, healthcare providers, business groups — and Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, which operates in Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, will be getting $214,427 from HHS; the group plans to have navigators spread across the Hawkeye State.
Intermountain Planned Parenthood, or Planned Parenthood of Montana, will receive $295,604 “to establish the Montana Marketplace Connection to assist consumers in navigating the Montana Marketplace.”
And Planned Parenthood of Northern New England will be given $145,161 to help New Hampshire residents navigate their state’s health insurance system.

That isn’t the only taxpayer money Planned Parenthood will be getting to help spread the word about ObamaCare. States that have set up their own exchanges also need to get people to use them and are shoveling money into interest groups’ pockets to assist in this endeavor. Earlier this week the District of Columbia’s exchange awarded $6.4 million in grants for navigators, including $375,000 to Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.

“The federal funding of abortion providers like Planned Parenthood is a serious problem in our country, and one that I have been fighting since I arrived in Congress,” Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) said in a statement. “This grant announcement is a sad reminder that despite assurances from the President when the law was passed, Obamacare will in fact give taxpayer money to abortion providers.”

According to the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, Planned Parenthood has performed nearly one million abortions over the last three reported years — about one every 95 seconds. In 2011, the last reported year, abortion accounted for 92 percent of the organization’s pregnancy services, with 11 percent of all clients killing their unborn babies that year. Planned Parenthood’s 2011-2012 report states that it received $542.4 million in government grants and reimbursements, including Medicaid payments, during that fiscal year.

The abortion giant stands to make oodles more from ObamaCare, which is why it pushed hard for the law’s passage and is now at the forefront of efforts to get people to enroll in the exchanges. Politico reported in June:

Planned Parenthood is diving into a new area of education, not without its own controversy: Obamacare.

The group’s more than 750 health centers across the country will be promoting the health law and helping women find out about new coverage options for themselves and their families before — and after — enrollment begins Oct. 1. They’re creating everything from refrigerator magnets to online apps that help people enroll in a health plan. Some affiliates will be applying to become official government-funded “navigators” to give people more hands-on help through the signup process.

Planned Parenthood says its health centers see nearly 3 million patients a year, many of them using the clinics as their primary point of care. More than nine out 10 are under age 40. About half are uninsured.

One local Planned Parenthood CEO told Politico that “nearly all of the 100,000 patients his health centers serve lack insurance, and he estimates about 75,000 will be eligible for Medicaid under the law’s expansion.” Most others, being low-income women, will be eligible for subsidies for the purchase of private insurance. Either way, Planned Parenthood wins because it will now be reimbursed — at taxpayer expense — for services it was previously providing for free or nominal fees… Read more @TNA

Federal Government Launches Investigation of Planned Parenthood

Federal Government Launches Investigation of Planned Parenthood

The BIG unknown (by us, of course) is can Obama save his pal and largest funder of abortions in the world – WARREN BUFFETT – financing the killing through his tax-exempt ‘charities‘.

Tuesday, 13 August 2013 10:05
Written by  Dave Bohon
A week after Planned Parenthood agreed to a $4.3-million payout in a whistleblower Medicaid fraud lawsuit against one of its Texas affiliates, the non-partisan U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has agreed to launch an investigation of the abortion giant over how it spends the hundreds of millions of dollars in government funding it receives each year.

The GAO agreed to the investigation after over 50 U.S. lawmakers demanded an accounting from Planned Parenthood into the specifics of the disbursement of the funding, which worked out to more than a half billion dollars in federal tax money last year. While by law no federal monies may be used for abortion procedures, which makes up a large share of Planned Parenthood’s revenue, many pro-life leaders say that there is no way to ensure that Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers are not disregarding that prohibition.
“Planned Parenthood performed a record 333,964 abortions last year — almost one million in the past three years,” said U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.), one of the lawmakers who requested the investigation. “At the same time, they also received more federal taxpayer dollars than ever before — a record $542 million, an 11 percent increase over the past two years.”
Vitter added that “Planned Parenthood and other organizations that provide abortions clearly benefit from Uncle Sam, but there’s no accounting to prove how they actually use that money. This GAO report would shine a light on how our tax dollars are being spent.”
Another of the lawmakers, U.S. Representative Diane Black (R-Tenn.), called the federal government’s funding of abortion providers “a serious problem in our nation. I am pleased with the decision from the GAO to investigate the use of taxpayer money designated to any abortion provider, particularly Planned Parenthood.” She said that the non-partisan study of “how much and for what purpose these dollars are allocated to all abortion providers is necessary for Congress to ensure accountability and oversight.”
The Daily Caller noted that the latest request from the lawmakers is for an update on a study the GAO did in 2009 on federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. The legislators want data on all of Planned Parenthood’s U.S. affiliates, as well as for the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the Population Council, the Guttmacher Institute, Advocates for Youth, and the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States.
“They specifically expressed interest in the amount of federal funding the organizations received, the allocating programs, the manner the funds were disbursed, the services they provided and the number of people served in each of those service categories,” reported the Daily Caller.
Another of the 50 legislators, Representative Chris Smith (R-N.J.), said that the ultimate goal behind the study is to defund the abortion business. “It’s time for Americans and especially Congress to take a second look and defund Planned Parenthood,” he said. “I’m pleased that the GAO will be investigating how much taxpayer money the abortion industry is receiving.”
Attorney Michael Norton of the conservative legal advocacy group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which assisted in the most recent whistleblower lawsuit against Planned Parenthood, told the Christian Post that it has released reports to Congress offering strong evidence of the misuse of funds by Planned Parenthood and other “family planning” organizations.
“We have been focusing on Planned Parenthood’s waste, abuse, and potential fraud, and to identify Planned Parenthood as significantly taking advantage of well-funded, poorly addressed family planning programs in particular,” Norton said.
Norton said that audits and reviews of the financial data from Planned Parenthood affiliates, along with over 40 audits of state family planning programs and at least one audit of a state family planning organization, uncovered nearly $110 million in waste, abuse, and potential fraud. “Taxpayer money is only supposed to be used responsibly and for the common good,” he said, adding that Planned Parenthood “uses taxpayer dollars to pad its bottom line with little regard for the health of women.”
Russell Moore of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission pointed out that “for years, the abortion-rights movement has told us they are about ‘choice’ and getting the government out of their lives. And yet, taxpayers have no choice in their hard-earned dollars subsidizing industries many of us consider to be horrific violators of human rights. A thorough investigation would be a good first step to examining our national conscience about what we’re paying for, and why. The abortion industry is big business of the most sordid sort. They certainly don’t need a taxpayer bailout.”

Planned Parenthood Exposed (video)

15Jun 2013

Although the likes of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Bill Gates are happy to sing its praises (or perhaps because they are), Planned Parenthood has a racist eugenicist past that it would prefer to sweep under the rug.

The bigger problem for the organization, though, is that the past isn’t over and the public is beginning to discover the real driving force behind this globalist institution. Join us this week on The Corbett Report as we pull back the curtain and expose Margaret Sanger’s monstrous offspring: Planned Parenthood.

Elitists Gather on South Carolina Island for Secret Meeting

Elite Gather on Gated Island for Secret Meeting

Old-Thinker News | May 12, 2013
By Daniel Taylor

As reported by local media, billionaires are gathering on the island of Kiawah, located near South Carolina. The story broke on May 10, but the meeting was reported to have started on the 8th. “Suspicion was raised when nearly 20 very expensive jets were seen lined up at the Charleston International Airport on Johns Island,” reported WBTW.

Bill Gates KiawahThe meeting is reportedly being led by Bill Gates of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The public has been kept away from the hotel which is hosting the meeting. Other reported attendees include Michael Bloomberg of New York, Oprah Winfrey and Billionaire Warren Buffet. The potential Presidential hopeful Jeb Bush is also reported to be attending.

A similar meeting took place in 2009 in New York at the home of Sir Paul Nurse, President of the Rockefeller Foundation. Familiar names were in attendance including Bloomberg, Gates, and Winfrey. The London Times reported that the meeting discussed plans to “curb overpopulation.” As to the secrecy of this 2009 meeting, a guest said, “They wanted to speak rich to rich without worrying anything they said would end up in the newspapers, painting them as an alternative world government.”

In the meantime, the secretive Bilderberg group is preparing to host their 2013 gathering in Watford, U.K.
